General Conduct
All members of Flight Sim Central Virtual Airline are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct when representing our organization. This includes:
- Treating all fellow members, air traffic controllers, and community members with courtesy and respect
- Using appropriate and professional language in all communications
- Following directives from Flight Sim Central staff promptly and courteously
- Representing Flight Sim Central positively across all platforms and networks
- Maintaining confidentiality of internal operations and member information
- Contributing to a welcoming and inclusive community environment
Flight Operations Standards
- Adhere to real-world aviation procedures and protocols during all flights
- Utilize only aircraft from our approved fleet for official operations
- Complete comprehensive pre-flight preparations and checklists
- Follow assigned routes, flight plans, and SOPs
- Maintain professional radio communications and phraseology
- Accurately log all flight data in our tracking system
- Submit flight reports within 24 hours of completion
- Maintain currency with a minimum of two flights per month
- Participate in scheduled training sessions and proficiency checks
Prohibited Activities
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY: Any simulation of aircraft hijackings, terrorist activities, or unlawful interference will result in immediate termination of membership without appeal.
- Operating aircraft in an unrealistic, reckless, or dangerous manner
- Using unauthorized software to manipulate or falsify flight data
- Engaging in harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior
- Impersonating Flight Sim Central staff or other members
- Distributing inappropriate or harmful content
- Violating network rules (IVAO, VATSIM, etc.)
- Sharing login credentials or allowing unauthorized access
- Engaging in activities that bring disrepute to Flight Sim Central
Network Integration Requirements
- Maintain valid accounts on supported networks (IVAO, VATSIM, etc.)
- Complete required network training and certifications
- Comply with each network’s rules and code of conduct
- File appropriate flight plans before connecting
- Respond promptly and professionally to ATC instructions
- Use authorized callsigns with the FSC prefix
- Report network incidents to management
Membership Activity Standards
- Complete a minimum of two flights per month
- Participate in at least one group event per quarter
- Maintain a flight completion rate of 85% or higher
- Complete recurrent training within required timeframes
- Respond to official communications within 72 hours
- Keep personal information up-to-date
Inactive members must complete a check flight with an instructor to regain active status.
Training and Certification
- Structured initial training for new members
- Regular proficiency checks and recurrent training
- Type rating requirements for complex aircraft
- Instructor development and standardization programs
- Continuous improvement of training materials
Disciplinary Framework
Violations are addressed through a progressive disciplinary system:
- 1st Violation: Formal counselling and documentation
- 2nd Violation: Written warning with remedial training
- 3rd Violation: 14-day suspension
- 4th Violation: 60-day suspension + probation
- 5th Violation: Permanent termination
Severe violations (e.g. safety breaches or illegal simulation) may result in immediate termination.
Appeals and Due Process
Members may appeal disciplinary actions:
- Submit a written appeal within 10 days of action
- Include member ID, incident details, and supporting evidence
- Appeals reviewed by the Board of Directors; decision within 21 days
Board decisions are final and binding.
Data Protection and Privacy
- Personal data collected only for legitimate purposes
- Information shared only with authorized personnel
- Members may request data access or deletion any time
- Retention and security comply with GDPR
Amendments and Updates
These regulations may be updated periodically. Members are notified of significant changes through official channels; continued membership implies acceptance.
